Can you tell the difference between a CGI Luxury Interior Design and a real building?

It is difficult not to be impressed by the quality of Computer Generated Images these days. In fact, it is often difficult to tell the difference between an utterly convincing CGI and a photograph of an actual building.

London Interior Designers

3D visualisations can be a highly persuasive way to depict the finished product before construction works have even begun. There are numerous reasons why digital imagery plays an increasingly important role in the interior design and residential development process. As well as assisting our London architect, interior designers and clients to make more informed decisions at an earlier stage in the design process, they can be critical to the planning process for their power to communicate ideas and demonstrate a design concept.

In a Belgravia Mews House that our London interior designers recently worked on, it is quite remarkable how the basement interior design has been fitted out completely in line with the CGI.

London Residential Development

Basement Interior Design

The preparation of CGIs can be a very rewarding process with the added benefit of de-risking the design concept at the earliest possible stage. Unlike traditional 2D plans, the results can be easily understood.

A large number of London residential developments are sold off plan to international buyers. In many cases, these buyers will not even visit the development before purchasing. Consequently, it is important that developers and agents have the best sales and marketing tools at their disposal. CGIs can be invaluable in such instances, providing reassurance about the final product.

In our Belgravia Mews House, the below 3D visualisation was a feature of the marketing brochure. Buyers could use the image to understand the usage of all the floors when considering whether it was the home for them. Incidentally, this house went on to achieve a local record and was purchased for £6.9m by an international buyer.

Belgrave Mews North - CGI Interior Design

One of our largest current projects is an iconic 3,300 sq. ft new build freehold house in Notting Hill, London. Currently, under construction, the property will be for sale on completion in Q2 2015. This unique home will benefit from luxury interior design throughout. 4 bedrooms and private garden are incorporated in a double basement along with the addition to off-street parking.

Ultimately, CGI’s have become an increasingly significant part of the design service, particularly so in the prime Central London residential market. Over the last 16 years, we have challenged how London property should be designed. The simplicity in creating a home that flows effortlessly, we believe is the most desirable.

We invite private commissions from end users and investors wanting to produce the most prised configuration of their property complimented by timeless interior design and beautiful features. Our in-house team of London Interior Designers have an unrivalled imagination that has earned Landmass numerous accolades including Best Residential Property in the United Kingdom.
